If you think your writing/artwork/thing is suitable for Peripheral, submit it here.
But first, a bit about it all…
Have a read through a previous issue to see if your work really is suitable. It’s hard for me to provide a genre and word count, because I don’t have set rules about it, but there is a general feel to Peripheral, and that’s the guideline.
I don’t think it’s cool for artists to work for free, but I’m also not at a point where I can pay much.
Payment is $20 AUD for your work going to print plus the digital and physical zine that you’re in. Payment is by bank transfer if in Australia, otherwise by PayPal. I’ll need an invoice from you if your work is accepted, otherwise I can’t pay. If these payment options don’t work for you, don’t read any further.
You retain ownership of your work, and you may publish it elsewhere, although I do very much appreciate you sending your fans this way to purchase the issue/s your work is in.
Original and already-published work is OK.
Peripheral is extremely irregular. There may be 3 issues in a year, or 10. Submissions are open all the time unless otherwise stated.
All submissions are responded to, usually within a week. But do keep in mind the irregularity of the zine, and let me know if you need to withdraw.
So, if all this is a good fit for you, tell me a bit about what you want to submit. If you can include the submission in the text below, do so. If you need to send attachments, let me know and I’ll reply with instructions.
